WHAT DO MARKETERS DO?

In recent years, the attraction of the marketing industry is undeniable. But not everyone who is passionate about marketing really understands what marketing is - even those who are well trained at school.

When you go to university, you often hear about the strategy of this brand, the SWOT analysis of the other brand, which are big names like Pepsi, Vinamilk, Kinh Do... Later, you find out the existence of agencies - companies that provide marketing and advertising services.

So what is a client and what is an agency? Which one is better?

Let's get back to the strange but familiar model in marketing - 4P. If you want to do jobs that cover all 4Ps (Product - Price - Place - Promotion), the company you should apply to is the client - companies that produce, sell products and services like Unilever, Pepsi... In the industry, they are called clients or advertisers.

So if those companies are "clients", whose clients will they be? Who will serve them? It's the agencies. Agencies are mainly responsible for the last P - Advertising & Promotion. You may have heard of famous agencies like Leo Burnett, Dentsu, Mindshare...
So in clients and agencies, what do marketers need? Please go back to the career orientation chart above and the videos that explain each position to find the answer.
